My post is about my very first trip to Germany. It wasn't supposed to be a solo adventure, but it ended up that way. I spent a lot of that three month excursion outside of my comfort zone, and it was hard, but in the end I found my authentic voice, and I had lots of fun. Thank goodness for German beer, bread and cheese, and Swiss chocolate. They saved me. Ha!
I'm enjoying the comments people are leaving in response to my post, and I'm also excited that the post got re-tweeted a lot!
In partnership with Janice and Solo Traveler, I've agreed to be the City Host for the Fort Collins, Colorado area. This means I'll organize 1-2 meetings a year, as an opportunity for solo travelers to meet face-to-face and exchange ideas and advice. Amazing. I would also love to be a solo traveler. Reading all these travel blogs made me decide to do this right away. Hope to meet some of you guys in the near future!
